Responsibilities

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance activities to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making and organizational growth.
• Operational Excellence: Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
• Implement best practices and streamline processes to optimize efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Lead audit preparations and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate risks.
• Team Development and Collaboration: Mentor and develop accounting staff, collaborating cross-functionally with departments to support organizational goals and initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role, ideally in a nonprofit or community-focused organization.
• Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting processes.

Salary: $85,000-$105,000
