Overview
Are you an experienced Accounting Manager looking for a challenging role in the Construction industry? We are currently seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented, and experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our company's financial operations. You will be responsible for overseeing our accounting department's operations, including payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure that ensures the department\'s goals and objectives are accomplished.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of our accounting functions, including payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate and timely financial reports and statements.
- Ensure that all financial reporting deadlines are met.
- Coordinate and complete annual audits.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
- Collaborate with the financial management team to support overall department goals and objectives.
- Advise on the handling of non-routine reporting transactions and events.
- Respond to inquiries from the Director of Finance, and other managers regarding financial results and special reporting requests.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting management, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
- Experience with creating financial statements and knowledge of posting entries.
- Proven experience in payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
- Excellent computer skills on MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and compile detailed reports.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to direct and supervise.
