Overview
Base pay range: $110,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr
This is a permanent Accounting Manager role on the Accounting and Finance team. The position leads daily accounting operations, prepares financial statements, manages budget activities, and ensures compliance with accounting regulations and procedures. The role contributes to maintaining the organization’s financial health and supports strategic financial decisions.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliation, fixed asset activity, and debt activity.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate and timely financial reports or statements.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Coordinate and complete annual audits.
- Prepare annual budget, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions to meet financial objectives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports.
- Advise management on actions and risks by analyzing financial data and presenting strategies.
- Protect the organization's value by maintaining confidentiality of information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance is desirable.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial systems management, budgeting, financial reporting, data analysis, auditing, taxation, and advisory roles.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
- Proficiency with MS Office and financial management software.
- Strong ethics and integrity; excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
