Base pay range
$120,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr
A leading infrastructure and construction services company, is seeking a Manager of Corporate Accounting. This position leads and mentors a team of accounting professionals, manages the monthly close process, and ensures financial records are maintained in accordance with GAAP and applicable regulatory standards. The manager also contributes to strategic decision-making by delivering clear, reliable financial reporting and analysis to support business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and Mentor the Team - Supervise and support senior accountants, fostering professional development and ensuring the completion of critical accounting functions.
- Own and Manage the Close Process - Drive timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Revenue Recognition & POC Accounting - Oversee contract accounting under ASC 606, focusing on percentage-of-completion methodologies and project-level accuracy.
- Audit Coordination - Serve as a point of contact for internal and external auditors, ensuring smooth and timely audit cycles.
- Policy & Procedure Development - Enhance and maintain internal accounting policies, procedures, and controls aligned with GAAP standards.
- Collaborate Across Departments - Partner with FP&A, tax, treasury, and operations teams on financial reporting and process improvements.
- Process Optimization - Identify and implement process efficiencies, including automation opportunities and workflow enhancements.
- Support Strategic Analysis - Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and contribute to budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA certification strongly preferred
- 4–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally from Big 4 public accounting
- Proven experience in revenue recognition and long-term contract accounting
- Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
