Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

Our client, a dynamic and growing manufacturing company committed to delivering high-quality products and operational excellence, is seeking an Accounting Manager for a newly created role open due to promotion.

Position Overview

The Accounting Manager will oversee all aspects of accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep manufacturing experience and a strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial controls. The ideal candidate will bring at least 7 years of progressive accounting experience and a proven ability to lead and develop a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 5 direct reports across general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures in compliance with GAAP
• Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to analyze manufacturing costs, inventory valuations, and production variances
• Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to senior leadership
• Manage audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring accounting staff
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
