LHH Professional Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accounting Supervisor for Houston, TX area client. The ideal candidate will have current experience managing a team, oversight of full general ledger accounting and close functions as well as public accounting or SOX environment experience as well vast experience in consolidations. Primary qualifications of the Accounting Manager opportunity include:

• Coordinate the month-end close process including consolidations
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and reporting
• Review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
• Perform variance analysis and prepare ad hoc reports as directed
• Manage quarterly and annual audit requests

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's in accounting, finance or related field
• CPA license and/or public accounting experience
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
• System savvy, strong Excel skills and ERP system experience
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
