KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting has partnered with a reputable organization in the Simsbury CT area who is looking for an Accounting Clerk to join their team. This position is fully onsite and plays an important role in ensuring smooth day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate has prior bookkeeping experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the accounting team with daily transaction processing and reporting.
• Review and prepare contracts and related documentation for accuracy and timely submission.
• Process and reconcile payments.
• Maintain accurate records and schedules, ensuring compliance with applicable guidelines.
• Assist with account reconciliations, including receivables, inventory transfers, and payoffs.
• Perform periodic audits of key documentation and reports.
• Provide general accounting support and complete special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous bookkeeping or accounting support experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general ledger systems
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines
