Base pay range

Corporate Resources, on behalf of our client located in Milwaukee, WI is hiring an Accounting Manager.

$125,000 - $150,000/annually plus benefits

We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager for our Milwaukee office who can hit the ground running. The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations as well as manage the department with the highest degree of integrity, professionalism, and discretion. S/he will have a proven ability to independently manage multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
• Oversee and develop the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll by working with everyone to establish goals and objectives for the year and monitoring progress
• Coordinate the monthly financial close and year-end reporting, including inventory valuation, inventory-in-transit reports, posting inventory, re-class journal entries, P&L, and general ledgers
• Ensure all accounting functions are in compliance with company policies and GAAP
• Analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy and completeness
• Coordinate efforts for continual improvement in understanding of cost structures and maintain a reliable inventory job costing system
• Serve as an active member of our management team, supporting company goals and objectives
• Assist with implementation of new programs and initiatives when needed
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; MBA and/or CPA plus
• MINIMUM 5 years of accounting experience, in a manufacturing environment
• Supervisory experience is strongly preferred
• Experience with ERP software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks of the highest quality and attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to remain discrete with the handling of confidential information
