Overview

Accounting Manager position with a fast-growing, employee-owned company in the food distribution and supply chain sector. This role leads a team and oversees day-to-day accounting operations. This opportunity is suitable for a CPA (or CPA-track) professional with a mix of public accounting and industry experience who thrives in a collaborative, high-growth environment.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and mentor a team of accountants, building a culture of accountability, development, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Partner with finance and operations teams to analyze performance, investigate variances, and provide insights to leadership.
• Prepare detailed forecasts and data-driven reports to support business planning.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance internal controls, and leverage technology for efficiency.
• Support audits, tax compliance, and ad hoc projects as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and/or corporate reporting.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems (Workday, Oracle, SAP) and/or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay range: $110,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

Additional compensation: Annual Bonus
