Overview
Accounting Manager position with a fast-growing, employee-owned company in the food distribution and supply chain sector. This role leads a team and oversees day-to-day accounting operations. This opportunity is suitable for a CPA (or CPA-track) professional with a mix of public accounting and industry experience who thrives in a collaborative, high-growth environment. What You’ll Do
Lead and mentor a team of accountants, building a culture of accountability, development, and continuous improvement. Oversee month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Partner with finance and operations teams to analyze performance, investigate variances, and provide insights to leadership. Prepare detailed forecasts and data-driven reports to support business planning. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance internal controls, and leverage technology for efficiency. Support audits, tax compliance, and ad hoc projects as needed. What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and/or corporate reporting. At least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards. Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems (Workday, Oracle, SAP) and/or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) a plus. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Base pay range: $110,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr Additional compensation: Annual Bonus Why Join
