You will be responsible for overseeing a team of accountants, preparing financial statements, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities
- Overseeing the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
- Directing and coordinating the company’s financial planning and budget management functions.
- Managing the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
- Overseeing and managing the month-end closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Coordinating changes and improvements in automated financial and management information systems for the company.
- Collaborating with other department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
- Monitoring and analyzing department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Advising staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
- Responding to inquiries from the Director of Finance, Controller, and other finance and company-wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting or related field with a strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, month-end close, and financial statement preparation.
