Position: Accounting Specialist

Location: NE Portland

Pay: $18-30 (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday - Friday

What You’ll Do:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to manage Accounts Receivable and Invoicing within our intermodal transportation operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring accurate billing for intermodal shipments, including drayage, accessorial charges, fuel surcharges, and detention/demurrage fees.
• Reviewing load data from the TMS (Transportation Management System) and reconciling discrepancies with operations or customer service.
• Monitoring AR aging reports and following up with customers on outstanding invoices to ensure timely collection.
• Responding to customer inquiries regarding invoices and payment statuses.
• Supporting the accounting team with day-to-day financial operations.

What You Need to Have:

The Musts:

• Background in the transportation industry
• Strong administrative or accounting experience
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• Proficiency with billing systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  
  

Preferred:

• Experience working with a Transportation Management System (TMS)
• Familiarity with intermodal billing components (e.g., detention, drayage, fuel surcharges)
