The Fountain Group is hiring: Accounting Analyst in Westford

Overview

Accounting Analyst position located in Westford, MA. Pay is $50.00-53/hr to start. This is a 6-month assignment with a possibility for extension or conversion based on performance and budget. Working schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm (Fully Onsite).

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger entries, reconciliations, and account analysis in compliance with GAAP.
• Support and execute month-end close and month-end reporting processes.
• Run and review reports in SAP, ensuring accuracy and identifying discrepancies.
• Leverage advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, formulas, calculations) to analyze financial data, spot mistakes, and provide insights.
• Collaborate with finance and HR managers to resolve accounting issues, ask the right questions, and proactively address discrepancies.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in financial processes within a manufacturing or medical device environment.
• Candidate must be willing to hit the ground running and work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is Required; Accounting degree is Preferred, but any Bachelor’s is acceptable.
• 5+ years of Manufacturing accounting experience (pharmaceutical industry preferred) is Required.
• Strong experience in Excel is Required.
• Experience in SAP GAAP accounting is Required.
• Not taking candidates with banking or insurance backgrounds.
