We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized accounting associate to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and supporting various accounting functions. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and proficiency in accounting software. The Accounting Associate will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Base pay range: $24.00/hr - $24.00/hr

Location and schedule

Onsite - Kearny Mesa

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Assist with general accounting tasks such as accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts
• Utilize financial software to process business transactions
• Provide clerical support to the accounting department
• Light Administrative Work
• Computerized accounting/electronic billing
• Strong Excel experience
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other financial software
• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Experience with general ledger reconciliation
• Ability to perform clerical duties efficiently
• Strong technical accounting skills 3-5 years

Qualifications

• Good communication skills
• Financial analysis, Purchase of services -Contracts/Operations, Budgeting (staffing budgets)
