Overview
We are seeking a Revenue Accounting Manager to join a fast-growing and mission-driven organization. The Revenue Accounting Manager will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting, maintaining robust internal controls, and supporting company-wide financial objectives.
Position Summary
The Revenue Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, with a focus on general ledger accuracy, revenue recognition, and monthly close activities. This role will manage one direct report while collaborating closely with Finance, Operations, and leadership teams to drive efficiency, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide actionable insights that support growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and month-end close process, including review/approval of journal entries and completion of account reconciliations.
- Supervise and mentor a Senior Accountant, fostering growth and team collaboration.
- Provide weekly KPI reporting on revenue, receivables, and collections to senior leadership.
- Partner with FP&A and operational leaders to interpret results, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Oversee fixed asset tracking, analysis, and reconciliations, including construction-in-progress (CIP).
- Review and record complex revenue transactions, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and other relevant standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate invoicing and revenue reporting.
- Develop and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Support system modernization initiatives, including ERP and CRM re-implementation projects.
- Prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis for leadership as needed.
- Assist with financial, tax, and compliance audits, serving as a key contact for auditors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred.
- 7+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting (Big 4 preferred).
- 3+ years in a management or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, revenue recognition standards (ASC 606), and financial regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with Epicor and/or Salesforce a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
