Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Accounting Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $115,000 to $135,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the month-end close process and ensure accuracy across multiple real estate properties
• Review and approve journal entries, capital funding requests, and top-level analytical schedules
• Manage and mentor senior accountants, providing training on accounting policies and procedures
• Coordinate with auditors for interim and year-end testing and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Lead lease review processes and assess financial impact of significant lease changes
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of general accounting experience, preferably in commercial real estate
• Apply strong knowledge of IFRS and financial recordkeeping policies and procedures
• Use accounting software effectively; experience with MRI is preferred
• Communicate clearly and manage staff performance, productivity, and development
• Perform complex accounting analysis and special projects with minimal supervision
  
  

Qualifications

• A BA or BS degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution
• Bring experience from a public accounting firm’s audit department; preferred but not required
• Exhibit excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
• Work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Display strong interpersonal and managerial skills with a team-oriented mindset
