The QTI Group has partnered with a real estate development company in seeking a full-time, direct hire Accounting Assistant to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

The position will operate Monday-Friday in office 8:30am-5:00pm. The pay is $22+/hr. based on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable and receivable, perform bookkeeping tasks, and assist with administrative duties as assigned.
  • Enter vendor invoices, ensuring coding consistency and accuracy.
  • Manage employee credit card statements, recording transactions in the appropriate accounting system.
  • Deposit and record rent payments, investor funds, and vendor checks in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate investor notes and equity entries, tracking payments and account changes.
  • Calculate and process quarterly payments and note payoffs.
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and delinquencies efficiently.
  • Maintain financial records, reports, and documentation in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in accounting or one year of accounts payable or bookkeeping experience is preferred.
  • 1+ years of accounting experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel with the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with QuickBooks or AppFolio is a plus.
