Job Opportunity: Hybrid Accounting Manager

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Compensation: $100,000 - $110,000 per year

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, hybrid work model (2-3 days onsite per week, varies)

Are you an experienced accountant seeking a fulfilling role in the senior living sector? Join our client's team as an Accounting Manager and play a key role in managing financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Financial Management: Handle financials for investors and assist in reporting processes.
• Budgeting: Collaborate on budgeting and ensure adherence throughout financial activities.
• GAAP Compliance: Deep understanding of GAAP, chart of accounts, coding, and billing procedures.
• Financial Reporting: Use software for automated reports and manipulate them as needed.
• Month-End Close: Oversee reconciliations, financial reporting, and journal entries.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including month-end activities, reporting, and journal entries.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel and adjusting entries.
• Experience leading a department or team.
• Initiative-driven.

Plus

• Healthcare accounting background.
• CPA certification (a plus).
• Experience with Sage 50 or NetSuite (preferred).
