Part-Time Legal Assistant - Complex Litigation (Plaintiff Side)
Location: San Diego, CA
Practice Area: Complex Litigation - Plaintiff
Compensation: $25/hour | 15-20 hours per week
Schedule: Approx. 2 days/week (Tuesdays & Thursdays preferred) | 11:30 AM - 6:30 PM (flexible)
Term: Up to 2-year commitment

About the Role:
An established San Diego complex litigation attorney is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Legal Assistant to support a semi-retired, low-volume practice. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to stay active in the legal field without the stress of a full-time role. Enjoy a flexible schedule, a quiet work environment, and meaningful legal work without the hustle of a busy office.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft, prepare, and format legal documents with precision

Manage discovery and deposition notices; assist with pre-trial filings

Handle timekeeping and perform legal billing

Maintain organized physical and digital case files

Support basic office functions (minimal phones/walk-ins)

Occasionally coordinate with a part-time secretary

Top 3 Must-Haves:

Strong Typing & Document Formatting Skills - Accuracy and efficiency are key

Experience with Discovery & Depositions - You know the workflow and can handle it independently

Legal Billing & Administrative Know-How - Confident with timekeeping, billing systems, and general office duties
