Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA
Schedule: Full-time | Onsite during 6-month probationary period, then Hybrid (3 days in-office)
Salary: Up to $110,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
About the Role
A prestigious law firm located in Downtown Los Angeles is seeking a Litigation Secretary with experience supporting high-volume litigation and bankruptcy practices. This is a direct-hire position offering long-term growth in a professional and team-oriented environment. After successfully completing a 6-month onsite probationary period, this role will transition to a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 days remote).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clerical support to litigation and bankruptcy attorneys.
- Prepare, proofread, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery.
- Maintain attorney calendars, coordinate meetings, and manage court deadlines.
- E-file documents in state and federal courts including CM/ECF systems.
- Maintain client files, docket systems, and case management records.
- Assist with billing and time entry processes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of litigation legal secretary experience; bankruptcy experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in state and federal court filing procedures, including e-filing.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), document management systems (e.g., iManage, NetDocs), and timekeeping systems.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent grammar, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
