Overview

LHH is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Secretary with a strong background in Commercial Litigation and/or Insurance Defense to join their legal team in San Diego. This onsite role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and is looking for a potential long-term opportunity.

Job Type: Contract/Contract to Hire, Onsite, Full-Time

Responsibilities

  • Draft and format legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and correspondence
  • Create and maintain templates, shells, and other litigation-related administrative tools
  • Perform state and federal court filings in California, including e-filing procedures
  • Manage case files, calendars, and deadlines
  • Coordinate with attorneys and paralegals to ensure timely and accurate document preparation
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, document management, and client communications

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of litigation secretary experience
  • Proficiency in California state and federal court filing procedures
  • Strong knowledge of Commercial Litigation and/or Insurance Defense
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an onsite environment
  • Familiarity with legal software and document management systems
