Overview
Secretary/Treasurer for the Borough of Port Clinton, Schuylkill Co., PA. Part Time, Works from Home. Reports to Borough Council, and provides general administrative support.
Responsibilities
- Takes minutes at monthly meetings.
- Maintains both hard and electronic copies of records.
- Acts as point of contact for the public and prepares official correspondence.
- Interfaces with the Borough Engineer, Attorney, Tax Collector, and third-party bill collection service.
- Financial: Receives and deposits payments made to Borough. Processes Accounts Payable. Prepares payroll. Assist with annual budget preparation and audits. Ensures compliance with state and federal reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is beneficial, but training will be provided.
- Must be bondable and able to pass a background check.
- Ability to work independently.
- Training and coaching will be provided.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Experience in municipal government or related administrative/financial roles preferred.
