Overview
We are working with a respected full service law firm to add an experienced Legal Secretary for a full-time hybrid position supporting attorneys across multiple corporate groups. This is a high-impact role for someone who is detail-oriented, excels at managing multiple priorities and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

Pay
Pay: $80k + overtime + bonus
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of Transactional and Litigation experience in a mid-to-large law firm required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience with document management systems (NetDocs), billing software (Carpe Diem), and expense software (Chrome River)
- Solid experience with ECF and Texas state e-filing systems
- Familiarity with Texas and federal court rules, procedures, and formatting requirements
- Ability to prepare complex documents with advanced Word features (styles, section formatting, tables, redlining, cross-referencing, indices, TOC/TOA)
- Strong attention to detail, proof-reading skills, grammar, and document formatting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with strong client service orientation
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines under pressure
- High level of discretion, reliability, and professionalism
Responsibilities
- Draft and format legal documents including briefs, complaints, motions, subpoenas, and summonses using firm templates and attorney input
- Coordinate multi-document filings and e-file in both state and federal courts
- Maintain case information and docketing deadlines in Court Alert or similar software
- Prepare notebooks, binders, exhibits, and hearing/trial materials
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files in the document management system
- Manage attorney calendars, meeting schedules, and deadline reminders
- Coordinate conferences, meetings, video calls, and related logistics, including meals and materials
- Assist with billing processes, including time entry, expense reports, and billing memos
- Open new client/matter files, run conflict checks, and update client contact lists
- Serve as a liaison with clients, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
- Handle attorney travel arrangements, CLE coordination, and membership renewals as needed
- Prepare materials for publication or speaking engagements and conduct legal research as required
