Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to provide high-level administrative and legal support to attorneys in a fast-paced litigation practice. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of handling sensitive information while managing competing priorities. This role requires strong communication skills, advanced knowledge of litigation procedures, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a legal team
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, edit, and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, depositions, hearings, and court deadlines.
- File legal documents with state, federal, and appellate courts (both electronically and in person, when required).
- Maintain and organize case files, discovery materials, and trial binders in both physical and electronic formats.
- Communicate with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and experts in a professional manner.
- Assist with trial preparation, including witness coordination, exhibit management, and document production.
- Track billable time and assist with client billing as needed.
- Handle general administrative duties such as answering phones, processing mail, and maintaining office supplies.
