The Off-Site Airline Check-in Agent's responsibilities include:

  1. Handling and securing luggage according to the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) standards.
  2. Issuing boarding passes and tagging bags for airline passengers on departing flights from an off-site location near the airport.
  3. Providing general information to passengers about locations, directions, and flight information.
  4. Delivering a high level of customer service to airline passengers and clients serviced by Bags, Inc.
  5. Being familiar with Safety, Security & Dangerous Goods, as well as HAZMAT procedures, through annual training provided by Bags, Inc. and airline partners.
  6. Maintaining a positive and friendly attitude in a fast-paced, high-volume guest service environment.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Greeting guests warmly upon approach.
  2. Assisting guests with luggage check-in, verifying flight itineraries, and number of bags.
  3. Inputting guest information for new enrollees.
  4. Processing luggage check-in, including charging credit cards for bags as per airline requirements.
  5. Weighing bags to verify appropriate weight and charging for overweight bags.
  6. Tagging luggage with destination tags.
  7. Providing boarding passes, luggage claim tickets, and receipts to guests.
  8. Securing luggage and placing bingo sheets on associated cages after processing.
  9. Verifying bingo sheets before securing cages and sealing cages appropriately.
  10. Transporting secured cages to the ASIG truck and bringing empty cages to the RAC area.
  11. Possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  12. Maintaining a positive, friendly, and professional demeanor at all times.
  13. Organizing and stocking the RAC desk.
  14. Upholding client guest service guidelines and values.
  15. Managing payments received from guests, including credit card transactions.
  16. Ensuring all cages are removed by ASIG at the end of shifts.
  17. Answering telephones and guest questions.
  18. Managing simple addition and basic calculations.
