• The Specialist/ Sr Specialist, Human Factors & Behavioral Reliability, is part of the Safety Division. This role is crucial in analyzing human-system interactions to enhance safety and performance, supporting cross-functional teams in daily operations.

What you'll do

As responsibilities may evolve, this list reflects current duties but management may assign additional tasks as needed, respecting legal and collective bargaining obligations.

• Evaluate human-machine interactions to improve system usability and performance
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and product teams to implement user-centered solutions
• Analyze user data to identify issues and recommend interface and workflow improvements
• Support risk assessments, workload evaluations, and scenario modeling to prevent issues
• Develop standards for UI design and human-system integration
• Document findings and present insights to stakeholders
• Design and deliver training on human factors principles to reduce errors and enhance safety
• Create safety communication strategies to promote positive behavioral change
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and communicate updates across teams

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Psychology, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years experience in human factors or behavioral reliability

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in relevant fields
• Over 5 years experience in related areas
• Experience collaborating with internal and external partners to align teams and strategies

• Ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects, including fast-tracked initiatives
• Continuous improvement mindset, innovative thinking, and risk-taking
• Adaptability to ambiguity and change
