- Deliver specialised lectures and labs in cryptography, network security, secure software development, ethical hacking, penetration testing, and cybersecurity governance (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
- Supervise postgraduate research projects including cloud and IoT security, zero trust architectures, malware analysis, reverse engineering, digital forensics, and AI for cybersecurity.
- Provide practical exposure to cybersecurity tools such as Wireshark, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Kali Linux, Splunk, and Snort.
- Facilitate cyber ranges, capture-the-flag challenges, and penetration testing labs to enhance hands-on learning.
- Assess student work through vulnerability assessments, hands-on labs, and case study reports.
- Support students in mapping projects to professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, and Security+.
- Ensure that research and teaching activities align with current cybersecurity threats, compliance standards, and legal frameworks.
Required Skills, Abilities and Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, tools, and best practices.
- Proven ability to supervise applied cybersecurity research projects.
- Capability to link cybersecurity concepts with broader computer science and AI applications.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
Education and Experience:
- Master’s or PhD in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Teaching or training experience at higher education level.
- Industry or applied research experience in cybersecurity preferred.
