JOB SUMMARY
Assist with daily operations of the Cybersecurity Lab by providing technical and administrative support to faculty and students.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor the Cybersecurity Lab during open hours.
Assist with installing and configuring necessary software (VMware, VirtualBox, Wireshark, Kali Linux, Metasploit, Splunk, Snort, Suricata, Nmap, Nessus, OpenVAS, Burp Suite, etc.).
Troubleshoot lab equipment and software issues.
Ensure lab guidelines are followed.
Provide support for faculty-led research and student projects.
FEDERAL WORK STUDY REQUIREMENT
NO -- Federal Work Study eligibility not required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum GPA 2.0.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with cybersecurity tools (Wireshark, Splunk, Kali Linux, Metasploit, etc.).
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Experience with virtualization and networking simulators (VMware, VirtualBox, etc)
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
This position is department-funded and specific to the Cybersecurity Lab.
