The Turf Rental Coordinator manages the Turf Rental Department, manages the processes, and assists the Pre-Owned department at JPTI. Both departments have a goal in achieving maximum sales and profitability by providing support to the Vice President, Atlanta Operations, Director of Pre-owned Sales, CIG account executives, inside coordinators, service managers, and customer care team members. In addition, the Turf Equipment Rental Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management of rental fleet, inventory, logistics, marketing, order fulfillment, and weekly website maintenance.

Primary Turf Rental Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Ensure all safety training and protocol are followed and met as required.
  • Manage the Turf Equipment Rental process.
  • Primary contact for initial communication from the customer to facilitate a rental request.
  • Prepare all rental agreements, asset documentation, logistics, and billing activities.
  • Enter confirmed rental orders into SAP and post confirmed rentals onto the sales log.
  • Leads the transfer of assets utilizing branch partners, freight brokers, account executives, and the pre-owned team.
  • Manage a preventative maintenance schedule for rental equipment at service locations.
  • Open service calls at service locations to initiate set up for confirmed rental and repairs.
  • Maintain the rental calendar, all scheduling and rental availability spreadsheets.
  • Analyze data and recommend corrective actions to achieve best sales and utilization goals for rental fleet.
  • Send out weekly inventory and rental schedule to provide rental availability to AE’s and JPTI leadership team.
  • Weekly Turf and Rental website maintenance. This includes keeping all inventory up to date, posting photos, and updating product pricing as necessary.
  • Establish processes for inventory onboarding including photographs from JPTI branch locations.
  • Maintain Inventory spreadsheets from information supplied by warehouse, sales, and service teams.
  • Work with JPTI Marketing Department to actively market products internally and via eblast to customers, based on season and current demand.
  • Help to develop, grow, and strengthen our digital footprint in the pre-owned market.
  • Work with our warehouses and service teams on efficient planning of assets.
  • Communicate weekly with the marketing team for material and ideas related to Turf Rental Equipment.
  • Assist VP, Atlanta Operations and the Pre-Owned Sales team achieve planned and strategic goals.
  • Work with the Pre-owned sales coordinator as needed and serve as pre-owned support during scheduled PTO requests.
  • All other tasks assigned by the Pre-Owned Sales team or the VP of Atlanta Operations.

  • A proven history of success in wholesale sales in the golf course, municipal, or landscape maintenance industries or related landscape industry with a working knowledge of the major brands of turf maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of incoming phone calls, inventory management, and sales order processes.
  • Demonstrated skills to creatively solve problems for both an outside sales team and customers.
  • Proficient use of SAP, Microsoft Office 365, including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive.
  • A willingness to learn new systems and concepts.
  • A strong desire to take a leading role in innovative ways to make our company the most desirable supplier for our customers.
