Overview

Maintenance Technician - Indianapolis IN at Circle K. This role involves maintaining equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equipment by troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning and providing preventive maintenance; facilitates repairs as required.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Tests new equipment as directed and maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
• Utilizes computer tools to email and complete forms related to Circle K systems; participates in training for existing and new equipment.
• Contributes to the team by achieving related results as needed and by pursuing ongoing professional and technical development (educational workshops, professional publications, networking, professional societies).
• Contributes to achieving Financial and Key Result Area targets per Company plan guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
• 3-5 years of maintenance/construction field experience preferred.
• Manual dexterity to operate equipment, ability to work in confined spaces, use of power and hand tools, ability to crouch/crawl, and use a ladder.
• Experience in telecommunications is preferred but not required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple changing priorities and ability to work independently in a high-priority, confidential, demanding business environment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable as a driver.
• Computer literacy in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Physical Requirements

• Sit for extended periods; operate computer keyboard and mouse for data entry; view computer monitor; hear and speak via telephone; reach forward and/or overhead; occasionally lift up to 80 pounds.

Work Environment

• Noise level is usually moderate; lighting includes natural and fluorescent lighting.
• Work with minimal direction and periodic supervision.
