Job Description
IU Health is seeking a patient-focused oncologist to join our academic and clinical practice in the Indianapolis area to focus on GI oncology. Practice will include our Schwarz Cancer Center, Simon Cancer Center, IU Health West and Schwartz Cancer Center in Carmel, IN! This is a clinical opportunity with academic components.
- Full-time employment opportunity for general oncology adult patients
- 100% clinical
- 80% outpatient / 20% inpatient
- Practice open Monday - Friday
- Call: 4-6 weekends of call annually
- Academic practice with focus on clinical care, research and education
Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent judgement in diagnosis and treatment of patients, formulation of treatment plans, and direction of the interdisciplinary team in achieving the goals of the patient care plan
- Oversee the team and residents/medical students in all aspects of their assigned duties
- Provide medical education and multidisciplinary team coordination services
- Participate in clinical research projects of interest in cooperation with the medical research department
Minimum job requirements
- Must be BE/BC in Oncology
- Ability to obtain IN medical license
