Job Summary
Chartwells Higher Education is seeking a self-motivated individual for the role of Director Dining Services at Indiana University in Indianapolis. In this role, you will advise the day-to-day operations and financial success of several locations on campus with emphasis on retail operations and brand standards. This includes adhering to contract guidelines, Health Department regulations, company standards, and expectations of food quality, freshness, and presentation.
With Chartwells’ growth trajectory, there is potential to advance and make an immediate impact on our food service operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day food service operations within the location to ensure strong customer service and employee development
- Formulate budgets and plans for the operation
- Manage brand standards and ensure adherence
- Maintain and implement standards of quality in all areas of the foodservice operation
- Ensure compliance with all regional and account programs and policies
- Be accountable for accurate reporting for the account
Preferred Qualifications
- BS degree preferred but not required
- Three+ years of foodservice management experience required
- Higher Education experience in board and retail operations preferred
- Knowledge of P&L accountability required
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- ServSafe Certified
