Provide customer service as the Personnel Assistant. Type, proofread and word process a variety of documents and forms including general correspondence, reports, orders and memoranda from rough drafts or verbal instruction.
Responsibilities
- Enter data into a computer from various sources including accounting, statistical and related documents; input corrections and updates; verify data for accuracy and completeness; assist in the compilation of reports.
- Operate a variety of office equipment including a copier, facsimile machine, and computer; input and retrieve data and text; organize and maintain electronic filing and filing.
- Participate in the maintenance of a complex filing system; perform various clerical duties in support of assigned functions.
- Answer the telephone and wait on the general public; provide information on departmental and District policies and procedures as required.
- Vetting and reviewing applications.
- Hiring, advertising and on-boarding applicants for school new hires.
- Assist principals with staffing.
- Complete EPARS for business office - new hires, current employment assignment and staff terminations.
- Update employee information in I-Visions.
- Maintaining all files on employees (electronically and paper).
- Audit employee files.
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Experience as a secretary or equivalent work.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic office procedure.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills of computer function and operation, typing, accounting, and other related secretarial skills.
- Demonstrated effective and stable interpersonal relationship with public and staff.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
