Overview

Crossroads Fellowship is a new church in Keizer, Oregon, experiencing remarkable growth over the last 18 months. Every Sunday, over 240 children, teens, and adults gather across two morning services. We are followers of Jesus, helping others find and follow Jesus.

Role Description

This is a part-time, hybrid (both in-person and remote) position as an Office Administrative Assistant located in Keizer, OR. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Office Administrative Assistant to support our staff and ministries by keeping things organized, clear, and running smoothly behind the scenes. The Office Administrative Assistant will be responsible for handling daily tasks such as managing phone calls and emails, coordinating calendars, and providing support to staff and ministry volunteers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute weekly Sunday service materials (Order of Service, sermon notes, announcements)
  • Draft and send the weekly email newsletter
  • Create and manage the volunteer serving schedule
  • Maintain and update the church database (e.g., contact information, attendance, etc.)
  • Oversee and update the church-wide calendar
  • Draft weekly announcements and coordinate with Sunday morning communication needs
  • Answer phones, monitor general email inboxes, and respond to or route inquiries appropriately
  • Provide additional administrative support to ministry leaders as needed
  • Maintain office supplies

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Skills in Administrative Assistance and Executive Administrative Assistance
  • Strong Phone Etiquette and Communication skills
  • Proficiency in Clerical skills
  • Proficiency with email platforms (e.g., Mailchimp), word processing, and basic graphic editing
  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • A flexible and proactive approach to problem-solving
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
  • Friendly and welcoming demeanor, especially when interacting with guests or volunteers
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications are a plus
  • Previous experience in an administrative or office support role

Preferred but Not Required

  • Previous experience in church administration or nonprofit settings
  • Familiarity with church communications
