Marten Law LLP is seeking applicants for an Assistant OfficeAdministrator position to support our growing environmental law practice. Thisis an in-person position supporting administration of the firms downtownSeattle Office.

The successful applicant will demonstrate, through theireducation and prior experience, superior administrative and operational skillsneeded to assist with the firms day-to-day administrative tasks and projects. Theseskills include attention to detail, an ability to work with a sense of urgencyunder time pressure, and the ability to manage multiple projects to differentdeadlines. Prior experience in a law or other professional services firm ispreferred, but not required. This is a regular, full-time position with fullbenefits, a competitive salary, and a supportive, positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk management support, including working withthe attorneys and the Risk team to intake new clients and process them throughour conflict check procedure. This includes preparing and drafting documents,database searches, and precise tracking of client progress throughout thisprocedure.
  • Maintaining all aspects of office operations andadministrative support infrastructure (office supplies, equipment, kitchen,file maintenance, etc.)
  • Attorney support, including travel arrangement,appointments, reservations, and preparing food orders.
  • Planning and implementing special occasions suchas holiday and summer gatherings.
  • Communicating with clients via email andtelephone, as well as in person, directing them to the best resource to addresstheir needs quickly.
  • Support the firm in the On Campus InterviewProgram (OCI).
  • Client billing maintenance, including directsupport of the end of year billing rate renewal project to assess new clientrates for the upcoming year.
  • Master and then improve best practices andstandard operations for the office.
  • Additional office support activities as needed.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree, with preference forcandidates who have demonstrated superior academic performance
  • Prior law firm or other professional servicefirm experience preferred, but not required
  • Professional and positive attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communicationskills
  • Exceptional attention to detail producing highquality work product
  • Mastery of multi-tasking in a fast-pacedenvironment
  • Demonstrated desire to take initiative and learnby doing
  • Microsoft Office Suite expertise

Benefits

You can expect the following:

  • A full-time position, in-office, working Mondaythrough Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
  • An annual salary of $50,000-$55,000 with bonuseligibility; commensurate with your experience.
