Summary:

The Bouquet Restaurant Host/Hostess will create a positive first impression of the restaurant. Responsibilities include greeting guests with a smile, responding promptly and courteously to requests, informing guests of wait times, monitoring the waiting list, showing guests to their tables, and bidding farewell as guests depart.

Compensation: $17.00 hourly + tips

Schedule:

  • Weekends and Holidays are required
  • Hours and days vary based on hotel needs (A.M. or P.M. shifts)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safety policies to ensure the security of associates and guests.
  • Answer phone calls, assist with reservations, provide hours of operation, handle special requests, and return messages promptly.
  • Input guest reservations into OpenTable accurately, noting special requests or food allergies.
  • Seat guests promptly, balancing guest flow across the restaurant and server sections.
  • Provide estimated wait times to guests and notify them when their table is ready.
  • Communicate effectively with bussers, runners, and servers to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor table statuses, including seating, bussing, and clearing.
  • Thank guests and invite them to return.
  • Assist with in-room dining and take-away orders as needed.
  • Participate in opening, closing, and side work duties.
  • Familiarize yourself with Ponte menus.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable host stand.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Food Handlers Card.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Previous hotel or restaurant experience preferred.
  • Experience in high-volume restaurant environments preferred.
  • OpenTable experience is a plus but not required.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with reservation systems preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions, make quick decisions, and stay organized under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Professional grooming standards in line with company policies.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
  • Work shifts up to 8 hours.
