Job Description

Reports to work well-groomed, in a clean and proper uniform, and practices good personal hygiene at all times.

Greets guests courteously when seated at their station.

Takes verbal drink and meal orders according to guest preferences.

Serves high-quality food, checks all orders for completeness, correct preparation, proper portions, and attractive presentation.

Maintains cleanliness of stations and pantry.

Performs side work during shift downtime, including rolling silverware, restocking, cleaning workstations, and bussing tables.

Executes the service cycle and team responsibilities consistently.

Maintains sufficient knowledge of the menu to suggestively sell to guests.

Writes guest checks and operates POS systems according to company policies.

Anticipates and corrects system breakdowns to maximize guest satisfaction.

Ensures 100% guest satisfaction on every visit.

Communicates with managers and coworkers regarding product or service issues, safety concerns, and equipment problems.

Informs General Manager and Manager on Duty of problems and proposes solutions.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Continuous standing and walking.
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests.
• Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, and cold.
• Reaching heights of approximately 6 feet and depths of 2.5-3 feet.
• High mobility and flexibility in workspace.
• Ability to fit through openings 30 inches wide.
• Ability to work irregular hours under pressure during busy times.
• Bending, reaching, walking.
• Eye/hand coordination.
• Ability to lift and carry trays and buss tubs up to 20 pounds for distances up to 30 feet.

Supervision and Skills

Receives direction from the Associate Manager regarding procedures and assignments.

Basic skills in sanitation, safety, and customer service can be taught in-house.

Handyman skills are a plus.
