Overview

San Antonio Winery, located in the historic downtown of Los Angeles, is seeking part-time, hourly-based servers to support our Maddalena Restaurant and 1917 Bistro. We were awarded Winery of the Year in 2018 by Wine Enthusiast. We are looking for a talented individual with upscale casual service experience, a professional appearance, a good demeanor, and a strong work ethic. This position pays tips.

We are looking for inspired and experienced servers to join our service team. The role requires experience in high-volume food and beverage operations. Candidates should have food service experience and a passion for food, beverage, and hospitality. The goal is to provide an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional hospitality from guest arrival to departure
  • Provide food and beverage suggestions based on guest preferences and upsell when appropriate
  • Take and run food orders and pre-bus tables
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with all serving and kitchen staff as a team
  • Adhere to all relevant health department rules and customer service guidelines
  • Touch tables and take beverage orders
  • Pre-bus tables down to drinkware
  • Present check

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of server experience
  • Currently holds a valid California Food Handler Card
  • 1 year of experience with POS systems
  • Professional appearance and grooming
  • Professional attitude
  • Great communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Team-oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, manage time well, and handle customer complaints
  • Knowledgeable and able to help customers
  • Food safety training is a plus
