Brickell City CentrePRIMARY PURPOSE:
Under the supervision of the Loading Dock Supervisor, the Loading Dock Master provides access control, traffic supervision, and oversight of loading dock conditions related to safety, cleanliness, and maintenance. The position is primarily assigned to Brickell City Centre and follows a specific work shift, which may be altered to meet operational needs.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist Loading Dock Supervisor with planning and delivery activities.
- Coordinate resources to ensure timely, damage-free unloading of shipments.
- Maintain and enforce a daily delivery schedule for efficient operations.
- Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
- Follow docking and undocking checklists.
- Collaborate with Security and Property Management.
- Work with the Loading Dock Supervisor to request equipment, repairs, or modifications.
- Ensure the neatness and cleanliness of work areas, including warehouse locations, aisles, loading bays, and docks.
- Enforce safety rules to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Cross-train in other warehouse functions and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Handle loading/unloading of straight trucks and 53 ft. trailers.
- Move materials between receiving, storage, or other areas.
- Sort and break down product boxes.
- Communicate effectively with Receivers, Drivers, and Forklift Operators.
- Handle company equipment responsibly, including PPE and voice communication devices.
- Report safety concerns promptly.
- Complete daily equipment inspection logs.
- Maintain product integrity and report damages immediately.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience, or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents.
- Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in operating electric pallet jacks and stand-up forklifts.
- Strong team player capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- This is a full-time position requiring flexible work hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on operational needs.
- Ability to solve problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.
- Reliable, responsible, punctual, with a positive attitude, able to work independently and as part of a team.
