Job Details:
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts to load and unload trailers.
- Direct and assist dock staff in staging, palletizing, and preparing shipments.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading and packing slips.
- Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and routing of materials.
- Monitor dock flow to reduce bottlenecks and maintain safety standards.
- Communicate with warehouse supervisors, drivers, and logistics personnel to coordinate scheduling.
- Train new team members in forklift operation, dock safety, and material handling best practices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized dock environment.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of forklift operation experience (certification preferred).
- Prior experience leading or training a small team in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or dock environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety and OSHA guidelines.
- Ability to read shipping documents and follow load/unload procedures.
- Solid organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
