Job Type: Full-Time

FLSA: (Hourly) Non-Exempt

Schedule: Monday through Friday; 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or until the job is done.

Location: South Bend, Indiana

Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Manager in planning, managing, and executing production operations.
• Coordinate and plan production priorities, workflows, and schedules.
• Schedule routine inspection and maintenance of production equipment to prevent breakdowns and malfunctions.
• Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for equipment and processes.
• Ensure equipment, materials, and supplies are continuously available to meet production needs.
• Assist in interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
• Enforce safety measures and procedures to reduce or eliminate injuries, incidents, and hazards.
• Review departmental budgets and implement cost-optimization initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required); an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Production, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to follow safety protocols.
• Familiarity with production metrics and manufacturing processes; prior manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage priorities under pressure and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills and ability to build trustworthy relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other mobile equipment; certification preferred.
