Overview

Senior Plastics Manufacturing Recruiter/Talent Acquisition — West of Chicago, IL. Our client is an industry leading manufacturer seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee their manufacturing operations. This person will lead production and must have a strong background in process/continuous improvements; assembly experience is highly preferred.

Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

• Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and organizational goals.
• Team Management: Supervise, train, and motivate production staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Process Optimization: Monitor and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain product quality.
• Quality Control: Ensure products meet quality standards through regular inspections and adherence to quality assurance protocols.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and promote a culture of workplace safety to minimize risks.
• Resource Management: Oversee inventory, equipment maintenance, and resource allocation to support uninterrupted production.
• Budget Oversight: Manage production budgets, control costs, and report on key performance metrics.
• Collaboration: Work with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and engineering, to align production with business objectives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial engineering, business management, or a related field.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and industry-standard software tools.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards.
