Production Assistant, Machine Room (Night Shift) Job at The Bernard Group, Inc.

Overview

The Bernard Group, Inc. is a 100% employee-owned visual merchandising company that designs and produces for leading retail brands. We are seeking a Production Assistant to join our Machine Room team on the Night Shift. Shifts available: Sunday - Tuesday or Wednesday - Friday, 5:45 pm - 6:15 am. A $3.00 per hour shift differential applies for the majority of the shift worked after 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Assist CNC Operators and Computer Saw Operators with loading and unloading of work pieces and general material handling at the machine and at the CNC and computer saw.
• Perform hand machine operations such as chop saw, jointer, drill press and hand router; maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Understand and adhere to The Bernard Group Fabrication Department quality processes; ensure work matches drawing specifications using measuring devices.
• Conform to changing priorities, demands and timelines; perform miscellaneous projects as requested by management.
• Assist machine room personnel to maintain organization; comply with customer confidentiality and company values.
• Perform duties in other areas of the Fabrication department, as needed.

• Capable of using and understanding measuring devices to ensure drawings are followed; able to adapt to changing priorities and timelines.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Range: $37,440 - $43,056 annually (does not include additional compensation such as shift differentials). Range reflects market conditions, experience, and internal equity considerations.
