Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the production line workforce during assigned shifts, ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, and safety compliance. This role supports staff training, leads continuous improvement efforts, and coordinates with other supervisors to maintain seamless production operations.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead production line employees during assigned shifts Train team members and monitor performance to ensure production goals are met Develop and implement line standards to improve manufacturing efficiency Drive participation in continuous improvement initiatives across the team Oversee sanitary maintenance and cleanliness of equipment Ensure quality control procedures are followed in accordance with company standards Enforce safety policies, quality guidelines, and regulatory compliance (OSHA, etc.) Support other production lines or cover for supervisors as needed Facilitate proper shift handover to ensure operational continuity
Required Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Proven experience in supervision or team leadership roles Strong verbal and written communication skills Willingness to work overtime or variable shifts as required Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and inspections Capable of drafting machine testing reports Familiarity with OSHA safety standards Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) Comfortable with general IT tools and equipment (software, printers, etc.) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in Spanish and English
