Position Summary Information

Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Business, or related field is required. Experience in recruitment, sales, or marketing is desirable.

General Summary Assists in the planning, organizing, and implementing of campus recruiting and admission activities to include contacts with high schools, educational institutions, community agencies, and business/industry. Coordinates and implements special events to promote Central Community College and assists in admission procedures. Will perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with college policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

  • Assists the Admissions Director in planning and implementing campus recruiting activities; including regional high school visits, college fairs, campus tours and visitations.
  • Assists recruiting efforts at local, community events, campus events, service clubs, etc.
  • Assists in conducting initial student contacts for admission, visiting with prospective students and parents, hosting campus tours. Ensure student has completed the application process. Provides appropriate follow-up contact to interested students through telephone calls, email correspondence, and social networking.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing and executing the Campus Visit Day program.
  • Visits ABE / GED / ESL sites to provide students with appropriate campus student services and information.
  • Leads the Student Ambassador Program to include recruitment, training and supervision.
  • Assists with and helps organize on campus recruiting events as assigned.
  • Presents new recruiting concepts, ideas, and procedures as well as participates in professional organizations.
  • Serves as an academic advisor as needed.
