Driver Recruiting Processor - Norman, OK at WEL Companies, Inc.

Position involves the day-to-day DOT compliance needs of the company, ranging from assisting drivers and Independent Contractors to reviewing file accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Confer with drivers and Independent Contractors by telephone, Tenstreet or in person to provide information about DOT compliance issues.
• Review and maintain driver and Independent Contractor qualifications files in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) and company policies including but not limited to: DOT physical recertifications, driver’s license renewals, drug screens, scanning/indexing files into DriverReach, etc.
• Coordinate appointments for DOT physical, new hire and random drug screens, TWIC, etc.
• Assist with the onboarding of new hires at driver and Independent Contractor onboarding.
• Assist recruiting with new hire Driver Qualifications (DQ) file reviews.
• Review, complete, upload driver and Independent Contractor employment verifications.
• Review and assist with new driver and Independent Contractor applications as needed by the recruiters and Contractor Consultants.
• Verify medical certification with new hires and Independent Contractors and their state licensing agency.
• Assist with travel to and from onboarding for drivers and Independent Contractors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; required
• Experience: 1+ years of relatable experience; preferred
• Computer Skills: AS400 experience; a plus
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; preferred
• Essential Skills: Ability to tolerate high stress situations; proactive mindset and strong personal accountability; strong attention to detail and record keeping; able to work professionally with diverse group of people internally and externally; ability to multitask and make quick decisions
