Overview

GOAL: To advance the mission of Central Ohio Youth for Christ, including affiliates and subsidiaries, by recruiting, screening, and placing paid and volunteer staff to accomplish our mission with excellence.

KEY OBJECTIVES

  • Oversee job postings for all positions across COYFC and subsidiary affiliates
  • Screen candidates for professional and spiritual fit with the organization
  • Assist in other recruiting activities as needed
  • Responsible to fulfill COYFC staff responsibilities
  • Responsible to fulfill spiritual responsibilities

Position Requirements

  • Oversee job postings for all positions across COYFC and subsidiary affiliates
  • Work with each COYFC department and company to ensure that all staff positions have accurate, compliant, and up-to-date job descriptions, and that they are accessible
  • Write job postings to attract candidates using YFC/USA Careers, Paycor Recruiting, and other recruitment avenues
  • Organize and manage the applicant tracking system (ATS) through Paycor Recruiting
  • Screen candidates for professional and spiritual fit with the organization
  • Promptly communicate to all applications via phone and email
  • Coordinate and conduct staff screening and interviews
  • Manage communication with candidates through the vetting and interviewing process
  • Liaison with COYFC departments to facilitate great communication and prompt hiring processes
  • Assist in other recruiting activities as needed
  • As needed, assist with background checks, document collection, and other tasks.
  • Assist with document management for personnel files, in collaboration with Operations and HR Administrators.

Spiritual Responsibilities

  • Because COYFC and its subsidiaries are part of the same faith-based organization, all employees are expected to consistently apply and live according to the religious mission and theological beliefs. Each staff member, regardless of role, is asked to articulate and uphold COYFC religious beliefs and practices at work and outside of work.
  • Be ready and willing to lead and contribute to distinctly Christian activities such as devotional worship or prayer services.
  • Seek God’s guidance and wisdom, through prayer and meditation, for the organization as a whole as well as for specific ministry initiatives.
