We currently have 12 antennas on-orbit and plan to deliver 20 flight units in 2025. Our missions include Earth Science (weather, surface deformation, and change), LEO, GEO, and lunar communications, synthetic aperture radar (SAR), and unique radio frequency sensors for commercial and government applications. Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Position Type: Full-Time/Exempt

Pay Range: $110,000-$130,000 (Salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity, and market data)

Location: Louisville, CO

About this role: The Manufacturing Engineer will develop and implement manufacturing processes for building, testing, and delivering antennas.

We support the following programs:

  • INCUS: NASA-selected project to deliver four Ka-band deployable antennas for the Investigation of Convective Updrafts mission, studying tropical storms and thunderstorms. More info
  • 2-axis Gimbal Antennas: Developing, fabricating, testing, and delivering high gain antennas from X-band to Q/V-band for sensor and communication missions across LEO, MEO, and lunar applications.
  • Perimeter Truss Reflectors: Delivering large aperture antennas for GEO communications, SAR, and security.

What you'll do:

  • Support production and ensure on-time delivery of antenna product lines.
  • Provide hands-on support to manufacturing & test technicians.
  • Serve as point of contact for non-conforming products, troubleshoot, and investigate failures to determine root causes and corrective actions.
  • Create mechanical and electrical assembly instructions, standardizing processes and streamlining workflows.
  • Develop or improve manufacturing process specifications shared among projects.
  • Design fixturing and tooling to aid manufacturing.
  • Understand in-house business systems including Configuration Data Management tools, Manufacturing Execution System, MRP, PLM, and shop floor control.
  • Translate design requirements into manufacturing inputs.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Key Job Requirements:

  • BS or equivalent in an Engineering field or related discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience in at least one core product area: Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, bills of material, and test procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with leadership ability in group discussions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Related technical experience considered in lieu of education.
  • Experience with GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and its impact on manufacturing and inspection.
  • Experience with CAD systems (SolidWorks) and designing tooling and GSE.
  • Experience with PLC, automation, and robotics.
  • Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical assembly and manufacturing of precision parts.
  • Experience creating and improving assembly instructions and manufacturing process specifications.
