Job Description:

Manufacturing Technician

Responsible for supporting the Design, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Materials Organization in the development and assembly of new and existing products. The Manufacturing Technician will handle a wide range of assembly responsibilities for various aerospace sensors.

How you will do it

• Participate actively in developing, implementing, and applying assembly and test processes for mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic instruments.
• Interface directly with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering to assist with the development and documentation of new products, processes, fixtures, tooling, and equipment.
• Build qualification and first-build products from sketches and detailed work instructions, performing manufacturing operations based on verbal instructions, drawings, and standards.
• Support process improvements for manufacturing, fixtures, tooling, and equipment, contributing suggestions and participating with engineering teams on initiatives like Six Sigma, Lean, 5S, and Kaizen.
• Support legacy products and ongoing production runs, performing fabrication, assembly, and testing tasks.
• Assist in product transitions, preparing products, equipment, fixtures, tooling, and related documentation for transfer to other AMETEK manufacturing sites.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, sketches, instructions, and specifications to communicate operational requirements.

Due to contracts with the U.S. Government, candidates must be U.S. citizens or Green Card holders.

Compensation

Employee Type: Hourly

Salary Range: $40,000 - $55,000

Incentive: No
