We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Sparks, NV.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality.
• Analyze and design lean manufacturing cells using effective systems and simulation tools to optimize space, equipment, material, and personnel.
• Prepare and lead projects to determine appropriate equipment based on product specifications and cycle times.
• Assist in developing plant layout for planning rearrangement of facilities, equipment, and operations for better space utilization.
• Work closely with product design, plant supervision, quality assurance, and maintenance personnel to prevent problems with products and manufacturing processes.
• Ensure manufacturing safety regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and maintained at all times.
• Stay informed on new manufacturing technologies and equipment to improve quality and reduce cost through efficiencies.
• Assist in reducing cost through re-engineering of product/material.
• Research equipment suppliers, lead equipment acquisitions or new equipment purchases, and oversee equipment delivery and installation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Entry-level position with minimal experience required; progressive experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
• Lean/Six Sigma, Process Optimization, Root Cause Analysis, Pareto Analysis, Project Management, and 8D Analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written reporting skills to mediate between equipment vendors and OEM clients.
• Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and perform analyses related to frequency distributions, test reliability/validity, ANOVA, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
